According to Muppet Wiki, "Grover describes himself on Sesame Street as a cute, furry, little monster.  He is multi-talented, taking on many different roles and professions throughout the series' run.  His famous roles include his superhero alter-ego Super Grover, Waiter Grover and Marshall Grover.  In his early Sesame Street appearances during Season 1 (1969-70), he had a more abrasive voice and he had green fur.  Kermit refers to him as Fuzzyface and The Hairy One.  During Season 2 (1970-71), he gained his current name and his fur became blue.  His voice and personality began to change to his more permanent manner.  From Season 34 (2003) to Season 38 (2007), he hosted his own world-travelling series of segments, Global Grover."

Performers:
Frank Oz (1969-2012)
Eric Jacobson (1997-present)
