According to Muppet Wiki, "The Swedish Chef is the preparer of all foods from The Muppet Show.  He is a humanoid character with human hands, rather than gloves.  He first appeared in The Muppet Show: Sex and Violence, with Chinese subtitles for his dialogue.  He speaks gibberish with a mock-Swedish language.  While singing his signature song in mock-Swedish, he waves his utensils.  The last line of the song is always 'Bork! Bork! Bork!' before throwing his utensils over his shoulder.  His popularity led to his own cereal, Croonchy Stars, in 1988.  According to The Muppet Show guest star Danny Kaye, Danny Kaye, who portrayed the Swedish Chef's uncle in one sketch, claimed that the Swedish Chef's first name was Tom."
